ROAM

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 12, 2026

ROAM is a walking game. Your steps move your character through the world. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.

Step and Motion Data

ROAM uses your device's pedometer (CoreMotion on iOS) to count your steps. This data is used solely to calculate your character's movement in the game.

Your step data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server, not stored in any database, and not shared with any third party. It exists only in local app memory while the app is running.

Account Data

ROAM requires an account to save your progress. When you sign up, we store your email address and a hashed password using Supabase, a secure authentication provider. Your email is used only for account login and recovery — we do not send marketing emails.

Game Progress

Your in-game state (explored tiles, city progress, companion data) is stored on our servers so your progress is preserved across devices and app reinstalls. This data is tied to your account and is not sold or shared.

Analytics and Advertising

ROAM contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no tracking of any kind.

Data Deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, email us at the address below. We will process the request within 30 days.

Children

ROAM is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
